The PW655 from British Acoustics' 6 Series is a dual 15" 4-way point source speaker engineered for premium audio performance. Its frequency response ranges from 41 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), ensuring comprehensive sound reproduction from deep bass to crisp highs, with a frequency range of 38 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). Rated for 1200W continuous power (4800W peak) at 4 ohms impedance, it achieves a maximum SPL of 138 dB. The speaker features two 15" LF drivers with 4" voice coils in a FB configuration, delivering impactful low-frequency response. Additionally, it includes a 6" MF driver and a 1" VC ferrite HF driver for mid and high frequencies, respectively. With a crossover frequency of 1.9 kHz, seamless transitions between drivers are ensured. Housed in a Steadygrid plywood enclosure with a powder-coated grill, the PW655 includes integrated handles, M-10 insertion points, and a pole mounting socket for convenient installation and handling. It stands 33" tall, 17" wide, 17" deep, and weighs 37 kg.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
