The ONYX 234 TW is a compact 4" two-way installation speaker designed for flexible audio applications in various environments. It features a frequency response of 99 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB) and 69 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), providing clear sound for paging, background music, and more. Rated at 30W continuous (120W peak), it has a sensitivity of 86 dB and can achieve a maximum SPL of 107 dB. The speaker offers a wide 100° x 100° dispersion pattern for even coverage.
It includes an impedance toggle switch for easy switching between 8-ohm and 100/70V operations, with a fixed 10W transformer tap for distributed systems. The 4" mid-high driver features a 2" voice coil with axial motors for precise sound reproduction and flared ports to enhance low-frequency performance. The speaker can be installed using the VS Throne swivel bracket or the VS Yoke 4 bracket, making it suitable for versatile installation options.

Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
