The British Acoustics PW 610 is a compact and versatile passive single 10" multipurpose speaker, delivering 1200 watts peak and 600 watts continuous output. It operates within a frequency range of 68 Hz to 20 kHz, extending down to 50 Hz for robust low-end performance. The PW 610 features a 10” low-frequency driver with a 3" aluminum voice coil and Fortex™ weather-resistant cones, supported by Malt Cross Cooling Technology and an FEA-optimized magnet circuit for reliable sound quality. Its high-frequency section includes a ferrite hybrid A144 F driver with a 25mm exit and 44mm voice coil, providing 50W AES and 200W peak power, reaching a maximum SPL of 126 dB.
Built with a durable birchply enclosure and finished with scratch-resistant granular paint, the PW 610 is designed for professional use across various environments. It includes perforated black steel grills, integrated handles, and M10 flying points, allowing for flexible mounting options such as flown, ground-stacked, or pole-mounted configurations. The speaker is IP43-rated for protection against dust and splashes, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, and can also function as a monitor. Customizable in RAL colors for larger orders, the PW 610 supports accessories like the Weather-Cover Module and Flight Case, ensuring enhanced protection and ease of transport. For safe and optimal performance, installation should be carried out by certified personnel using original brackets and adhering to safe rigging practices.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
